Happy Easter

Just popping in to wish you all a very happy Easter!  It's a wonderful day to focus on all that the death, burial and resurrection of Christ procured for us in this great salvation.  Salvation is so much more that an insurance policy from hell.  Not to discount that wonderful benefit but, we are promised abundant life, healing, deliverance from the power of sin over our lives...the list is huge!  So is the responsibility to take what we have and show it to the world.

Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

Isa 61:2 to preach the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

Isa 61:3 to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

Isa 61:4 And they will build the old wastes, they will raise up the ruins of former times. And they will repair the waste cities, the ruins of many generations  
That passage of scripture is just a taste of the kind of healing and delivering love and power that we have within us to give to a very desperate world.  Let's take today to focus on and renew our commitment to being all that the Word of God says we are so we can have the kind of impact on lives that God intends.
